I work for a sucessful local weekly TV show and was wondering how I go about getting the show aired in different regions of our country or on a cable network.
If your station is an affiliate of one of the major networks (ABC, NCB, CBS, etc.) you should contact them. Otherwise the cable networks have areas to submit ideas for stories. Here is the one for CNN:
I seem to remember on a TV show where a real jerk executive was yelling at a main character who was seeking an apology from a corporation for a batch of bad beer/soda/something. And the jerk guy said that he represented a major multi-national incomporated company, and that unless he was a shareholder, he didn’t owe the guy anything. Does any remember this episode and/or quote?
Possibly The Drew Carey Show?

Here comes some food for thought for all the meateaters ou there. I do not judge or blame anyone for eating meat, I just want to help people to rise awareness for the actions we take. There is an easy way to let go of this kind of food, and this show explains it.

We are thinking of getting a Plasma TV, but have held off because every time we’ve seen a friend’s plasma, or just gone in an electronics store….the plasma tv’s are always pixelated and show an un-clear image of a tv show.
I know if we get say ESPN HD, we’ll have a great image. But why is it, that if you watch a regular NBC show on your plasma, it’s a worse image than if you watched it on your Tube tv?
And is there a way so that non-hd shows appear nice and crisp on your plasma? Is the only way to watch and make a 4:3 tv show clear and crisp, by putting those letterhead bars on the side of the plasma tv?
Last question, which gives you the best resolution, Plasma, LCD or DLP? Which is the way to go?
I’m guessing you’re talking about watching a channel in your non-HD channel line up.
On my HD TV you can change the resolution on the non-HD shows back to that of a tube TV and I get the bars on each side and they look better. However, try watching even non-HD shows on their HD channel, they are usually better quality because they are broadcasted digitally.
And I have no idea about what kind of TV is the best resolution, I hate my plasma, these two annoying lines keep running up every once in a while and I can’t get rid of them
Would you recommended this job?
What kind of education do you need to be a tv show host?
What do you think of this job?
talk talk n talk……….channels will hunt u.
if u r serious do mass communications degree.
there are many successful hosts. so u 2 can be…..
Like if I TiVo’d a tv show or whatever, how can I upload it to Youtube or something? I need help, thanks!
I saw people on youtube with full episodes of shows and uploaded them. How do I do that??
You need to obtain the right to do that from the respective copyright holders. Usually if they want the program distributed that way, they will do it themselves on Youtube or their own outlet.
Also, particular to TiVo DVRs, is that their terms of service specifically prohibit sharing of A/V content recorded on a TiVo DVR.

There are places online to download tv shows for free to watch on the computer. I don’t like to watch on my computer-I would prefer to watch on my tv. I have a dvd burner on my computer, so is there a way for me to download the tv show and then copy it to a dvd so I can watch it on the tv? I have no idea how to do any of this kind of stuff. Is this even possible? Thanks!
You can download most tv shows using torrents some are in HD format so the quality is not bad. After downloading the torrent you’ll need to convert the file usually avi to a format DVD uses.I use dvd Santa..it takes a while but you should do a bunch at a time cause the dvd will hold a few hours of video.. Go here to get the torrents eztv >> http://eztv.it/index.php?main=showlist << You’ll probally have to learn how to work with torrents first. Download a program like Bitlord and read up on it once you learn its easy. Good luck!!!
I am trying to find out the name of a tv show that was on between 1980-1984 on cbc that the band Rush frequently guest starred on. If anyone can tell me the name of the show, I would appreciate it so much. Thank you.
It was Pictures Come to Life.
