  • What is the name of the TV series in which a famous Ballet Dancer tried out a wide range of different dances?

Posted by admin on July 1st, 2010 and filed under tv series | 3 Comments »

I am trying to find details about a TV series in which a famous Ballet Dancer ( I think Darcey Bussell ) spent time look into and trying out different dance styles.

Darcey was on Strickly Come Dancing on the BBC, but that was as a judge as I understand it. She did dance Latin I think according to an article I read. I am in the states so I never saw it. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1235127/Darcey-Bussell-comes-retirement-perform-tonights-Strictly-Come-Dancing.html

I don’t think this is what you are talking about hwever. I never heard of anything like that and would be interested to know who the dancer was and the answer too.

What’s the difference between a tv drama series and a soap opera?

Can you also give examples of soap operas?

Can you also give examples of a tv series?

Is Gossip Girl a soap opera or a tv drama?

The difference is that a soap is romantic, long-running and heavy on the cliffhanger. Soaps often go on for years and years, but television drama series’ end sooner or later. For example, Guiding Light, a soap, has been on television for over 55 years! Gossip Girl? Two years.

Here’s some examples of soap operas: Dallas, Guiding Light, Days of our Lives, As The World Turns, Knots Landing, Desperate Housewives, The Young and the Restless.

Here’s some examples of tv series: Lost, Studio Sixty on the Sunset Strip, Prison Break, House, Brothers & Sisters, Shark, Bionic Woman.

Gossip Girl is a drama, although it is somewhat "soapy" it is not a soap opera.

What are the differences between the gossip girl book series and tv show?

Posted by admin on June 17th, 2010 and filed under tv series | 4 Comments »

I have to write a comparisive essay comparing the book series and the tv series. Mostly just the first book vs. the pilot episode. I nned answers asap bc i forgot about the essay and itw as supposed to be handed iin today.

damn, that sux. They are the same in that the main characters are very similar. Blair and Serena are best friends in a wealthy neighborhood, and Blair is constantly envying Serena for her beauty. Blair is always kind of a b*tch.
Jenny Humphrey is a younger girl that idolizes Serena in both.
Nate Archibald is really Blair’s boyfriend, but he lusts after Serena, who is his friend.
Chuck (i forgot his last name, sorry!) is a total pervert, and he turns out gay in the book. In the show, Chuck and Serena’s parents get married and it’s just kind of awkward.
I’m sorry that’s all i got. you could try watching it on hulu and reading the cliffnotes!

What is a good TV series that teaches sign language for Young Kids?

Posted by admin on June 8th, 2010 and filed under tv series | 1 Comment »

My little cousin isn’t deaf but loves signing with his deaf friend. He wants to lean more and loves fun movies that teaches signs. Anyone know good TV series that teaches signs in a fun way?

I know a great TV series!

Signing Time is fun and teaches many useful signs that a child would want to lean. It has many catchy songs that I catch myself singing them!

Signing Time is an award winning series and I actually really like it even though I am not a toddler. (obviously)

    I suggest trying it out!
