what are two news stations with different opinions?

Posted by admin on July 7th, 2010 and filed under news stations | 3 Comments »

i need help, what are two different news stations that share different opinions on something?

If you’re talking TV, (and if you have cable or dish), try cnn, fnn and msnbc. Those are the only 3 I’m aware of in U.S. If you want some international slant, check out BBC or Deutsche Welle (in English)
They are also on many US cable/satellite stations.

Watch a few hours of each; try to find coverage of similar news stories (maybe health care
reform, banking reform, abortion etc) and see how each newscast makes you feel differently
about the issue. This is NOT an accident. Try to understand why.

Which TV news stations are considered conservative and which are considered more liberal?

Posted by admin on July 4th, 2010 and filed under news stations | 4 Comments »

I’ve often heard people talking about this is that and that is this and I’ve never really understood which news stations are considered what. If someone could please clue me in I would appreciate it. Thank you!

Fox is concervative and so is CNN. I’d say good morning america or local news things are most liberal.

Do you think the news stations have too much power?

Posted by admin on July 1st, 2010 and filed under news stations | 5 Comments »

Do the news stations have the power to put on the news what they want? Are they told what to put on, or do they decide what goes on. Do you think that there are things we aren’t aware of because the news doesn’t tell us?

Decisions on guidelines for the the type of content aired are influenced by corporations concerned with the bottom line.
But we all know this so take all that we view with a grain of salt. Don’t we?

Is this a fair and unbiased ranking of the major news stations?

Posted by admin on June 29th, 2010 and filed under news stations | 7 Comments »

    MSNBC – far left
CNN – as middle as you can get
    Fox News- far right

I had someone tell me yesterday that Fox News is the most unpolitical station, even though they have talking heads from the Republican party with their own shows.

Would this be a fair summing up of the stations political slant?

Yes, you’ve got it right. Whoever told you that nonsense about Fox is experiencing delusions.

Why are most TV news stations preoccupied with entertaining people?

Posted by admin on June 26th, 2010 and filed under news stations | 10 Comments »

Whenever I watch the news on TV, it always seems as if reporters are trying to entertain the audience (regardless if it’s a liberal or conservative station). What’s up with that? Why don’t they just list the plain facts?
But if they stayed objective, people would have access to the facts and they could form their own views about an issue instead of having some bonehead tell them what should be done about a particular situation.
Pineapple, I disagree. They are also loosing some viewers by spewing such nonsense all the time.

That’s like asking why McDonalds uses Fat and Salt in their products. It may not be good, but they think it is tasty!! You might be one of the few people who recognize the idiocy that corporate America sees the general population to be. Ever watch Jay Leno’s "Jay Walking" skit he does on the Tonight Show? If you have, you know what I am talking about. People are ignorant of what is really going on in the world let alone in their own circles. Corporate America knows it and caters to the emotional quotient of THOSE who sadly are the majority in this country.

Not to mention, but it is a known fact that the brain goes into a light trance when watching television, (or reading a book or anything you focus intently on or is a drone in the background), and since this true, you are susceptible to Hypnotic Programing while you are Consciously awake!! Ever wonder why they use such phrases as, "But Wait!" or, "Act Now!" or, they will do reverse double suggestions in conjunction with music that burns into your brain (ear worms) that pop into your mind as soon as anything triggers it, (like seeing the Yellow M shape, again McDonalds being masters at this, they spend 100’s of millions to figure you out), for example: "Go ahead and sit there if you want to, but successful people act and will make loads of money with this system I’ve personally developed just for you." I’m sure you get my point. Even Burger King found it impossible to effectively compete against McDonalds, so they adopted a policy to use McDonald’s research demographics information by simply opening their locations on opposite corners or nearby just to penetrate the market flow in that location. They know that if people have a choice, a portion will choose them, even though it’s McDonalds that uses every media outlet possible.

I would like a true news outlet that is not biased at all, that is factually accurate, and tells it like it is. I want intelligence. But since watching regular news programs melt my brain, I might as well find one that I can actually enjoy despite the "news" being nothing more than cut and paste from Reuters or some other ticker. If you are a guy, you might like the Naked News. Hell, who cares about what they are saying when as they are saying it the, ahem, female reporter is taking off her clothes, one by one. A tornado could be on its way, I don’t care…lol That tornado graphic on their map looks so much more fun! Heck, adversity is so much more fun when beautiful people let you know about it when naked. Well, I admit, not everyone should be naked…lol…but, for a laugh, I thought it was a tongue in cheek attempt to poke at the laughable conditions of our Media Psychology. Puns intended.

    Good Luck!
